A friend of mine introduced me to the singer Beth Hart. When I listen to her voice from the tracks on the album Leave the light on, I start vibrating in my knees with the same frequency as the vibrator of her voice. It is exactly the same pace as the vibrato of Janis Joplin. Ever since Janis died I have felt anger about the unfairness of letting such a powerful personality leave us. But finally, now with Beth, I hear Janis there somewhere in the background. Beth Hart will never fill out the shoes of Janis Jopling, but it is very nice with someone walking around in her rock boots, ballad sandals and jogging shoes.
